Eligibility

• Candidates should have completed Master of Physiotherapy in different branches under-recognized universities with 55% of marks and after obtaining eligibility certificate from the university.
• Upper Age Limit There is no upper age limit.

The period of certified study for Master in Physiotherapy shall be a full time course and its duration shall extend over a period of two academic years for the award of the degree

  Advanced Physiotherapy in Cardio Respiratory Conditions

Eligibility

• Candidates admitted into the Master in Physiotherapy course should have passed the BPT degree examination of this university or an examination of any other university accepted by the authority of this university as equivalent thereto. Candidates who have passed BPT Examination from other than the “The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R Medical University” shall obtain an eligibility certificate from this university by remitting the prescribed fees along with the application form before seeking admission to any one of the affiliated institutions.
• Upper Age Limit There is no upper age limit.

The bachelor degree in Physiotherapy is a four-year full time academic programme with non-semester pattern of examination. After passing the fourth year of education the student undergoes physiotherapy internship for a period of six months in various departments and scores a minimum of 50% marks in the compulsory scoring system after which he/she is eligible to apply for the convocation.

Eligibility

• Candidates belonging to all categories for admission to the B.P.T Degree course should have passed the higher secondary examination-12thwith the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Botany and Zoology.
• Candidates who have studied abroad and have passed the equivalent Qualification as determined by the Association of Indian Universities Will form the guideline to determine the eligibility and must have passed in the subjects: physics, chemistry, biology (Botany/Zoology) and English up to 12th standard level.
• Candidates who have passed the senior secondary school examination of National open school with a minimum of 5 subjects with any of the following group subjects.
  • English, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology.
  • English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and any other language.
• Age Limit Completion Of 17 Years Either At The Time Of Admission Or Before 31 December Of The Year Of Admission.

• Started in the year 2005 to ignite a feel of togetherness in uplifting the field of physiotherapy in a small but meaningful way.
• The main objective of this association is to create a bond between all fellow physiotherapists.
• The future aim of SPA is to form greater links with the other outer physio organization and make it a channel of drawing all the therapist’s problems to a higher level for a solution.
• The association sponsors most of the workshops conducted within the college and for intercollegiate competitions.
• It conducts camps in the community areas in and around Saravanampatti.
• It celebrates World Physiotherapy Day on September 8thevery year.
• SPA joined hands with Student Nurses Association (SNA) in celebrating Pongal, Teacher’s Day, Onam, Deepavali, Pooja, Christmas and Ramzan.

• It is an in house activity where recent advancement and published papers were presented and discussed before the gatherings of our college students and staff.
• It encourages the students to utilize clinical postings and library sources.
• Update the clinical and research knowledge, recent assessment or treatment techniques.
• To develop critical thinking and communicative skills.
• Every Saturday of the week the presentations will be held.

• Youth Red Cross is a constituent of its mother organization Indian Red Cross Society at the initial stages for students from 18 to 25 years of age with the colleges.
• A qualified lecturer is recognized as the program officer under his/ her guidance, the students are trained and encouraged to manage the affairs of the group , electing their own chair person.
• A group of volunteers formed in the college, who are primarily committed to the service of the needy and the distress.
• The principles of the organization are to protect health and life,service to the sick and suffering and promotion of friendship to develop mental and moral capacities and every year students do activities on promoting the same.
