Coimbatore, in Tamil Nadu is affiliated to Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai and Directorate of Medical Education, Kilpauk, Chennai.

The aim of KG College of Health Sciences is to prepare a health care provider to function as a member of the healthcare team, bringing competency to the hospital and the community.

All the activities of KG College of Health Sciences are closely monitored and efficiently guided by Chairman, Padmashri Dr. G. Bakthavathsalam, who has a great passion for teaching and learning.

KG College of Health Sciences is associated with KG Hospital and Postgraduate Medical Institute. KG Hospital was founded in 1974 and isa multi, super specialty, not-for-profit hospital. Quality is KGH’s lifeline and the hospital is NABH accredited.

KG Hospital has always been on the cutting edge of healthcare. For instance, KGH was the first hospital in Asia to install a 128 cardiac CT Scan. Even today, KGH is the only hospital in Coimbatore and one of the very few hospitals in India to perform Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (MICS).
